The first games in the series Magic Encyclopedia: First Story and its sequel, Magic Encyclopedia 2: Moon Light were very popular and the Magic Encyclopedia 3 game keeps up the same high standards intoducing a fresh makeover to the graphical look of the game and a unique layer approach to the game, one real and one an illusion. The hidden objects you search for in the game aren't just random objects. They serve a purpose in the story. - There are 5 Chapters in the game, each with 5 locations.
- Scenes are a mix of illusion and reality. Use artifacts or Magic Glasses to see illusions.
- Magic Glasses available at end of Chapter 1, but not used until Chapter 2.
- You can skip mini-games when the button is recharged. Click Restart to start a mini-game from beginning.
- Hints are unlimited, but must be recharged before use.
- Puzzle solutions are random.
- At the end of each chapter you can play the Find the Differences puzzle for the scenes in that chapter.
